All About the New INSEAD Video Essay Requirement

A new component of INSEAD’s admissions process for its MBA program is the video essay. INSEAD is the first non-American business school to include a video essay component  in its admissions process.  The video essay  does not replace the face-to-face interview with an INSEAD alumnus it does, however, reduce the number of written essays you applicants are required to submit, replacing a prompt about cultural sensitivity from last  years’ application set. How It Works: After submitting the general INSEAD application, each candidate receives a link to complete four video questions. For each question, you  will have 45 seconds to prepare and 60 seconds to answer the prompt. The questions are picked randomly from a bank of 70 questions.  Because the questions are randomized, this  component of the application will allow you to show your personality and ability to think on your feet. Your ability to genuinely present yourself, as well as your English fluency and communication skills, will be extremely  important to these video essays. As with the rest of the application package, your responses will want to show the international outlook and cross-cultural awareness that fits the INSEAD mindset. These include  showing respect and open-mindedness with diverse cultures. Although you do not want your answers to sound too rehearsed, you  may want to prepare some brief examples of previous experiences that highlight your cultural sensitivity, motivation, entrepreneurial spirit, and empathy before your answer each question. The video  essay questions  need to be completed between the time you receive your registration confirmation  and one week after the application deadline of the round you are applying to. What You Need: To complete the video essay questions, you will  need to have a good Internet connection, a webcam, and a microphone. Ideally, you should also make available a clean (at least for the space within the camera range) and quiet room for 20-30 minutes of time to film your essay responses in the last thing you need is for the Admissions Committee to be distracted by a cluttered room or a noisy roommate as they watch your video. Dressing up professionally would also be the safe way to go. Overall, enjoy the process (as clichà © as that sounds) as it will help you present your best self  as  someone INSEAD would want to be part of its community. Applying to business school? Feminism and Superheroes

Feminism and SuperheroesThere are various female superhero research paper topics you can research in order to gain an insight into the world of super heroes. Women can usually access this world just as easily as men do, and by seeing the world from a different point of view will enable you to see it from a completely different perspective. By becoming knowledgeable about these issues and how they work, you are better prepared to fight for gender equality and for women's rights. One of the more popular female superhero research paper topics involves feminism. Feminism is actually a field of study that deals with the struggle between traditional male ideas and female concepts of power and equality. Feminism can be related to the idea of the women's movement, or it can just be a general concept that concerns men and women's roles in society. It can be difficult to relate the two, especially if you're trying to educate yourself on a feminist issue. The first thing you want to consider when looking at the issue of feminism is the role that a superhero's story would play. In comic books, as well as other fictional stories that deal with superhuman characters, often superheroes are either considered to be gods or demigods. Therefore, it makes sense that they would also be considered the opposite of women and femininity. This does not mean that all women who participate in these stories are taking themselves down the path of femininity, but it does mean that there is a huge stigma associated with them if they don't adhere to the expected norms of women's roles. This means that a female superhero character could have traditionally masculine characteristics, such as strength and tenacity, while being viewed as a 'feminine' character. Therefore, it is important to examine this aspect of feminism as well as that of masculinity in general.Another feminist issue that you should look at is the idea of sexuality. This has been a big subject in fiction for many years, so it stands to reason that women who write these characters will also have their own ideas about the issue. Often, a woman's sexuality is the issue that draws a male reader to her, while at the same time drawing a female reader to a male character. This is often the case with lesbian characters and the writer trying to make her relationship work. The comic book industry has an especially good track record when it comes to this topic. In fact, the popular Wonder Woman comic series was created by a woman who went on to write a number of comics for DC Comics. Therefore, it is important to look at the personal experiences of women when looking at the comic industry and why there is a disconnect between women and feminism. This way, you will have an easier time relating the issues that are at hand to your own personal life. Finally, there is the question of whether or not the female characters in superhero stories should be portrayed as the same as male superheros. Generally speaking, this is not the case, but the writers and creators behind the superhero comic series can use the possibility of romance to play around with gender roles and stereotypes. For example, the covers of these comic books tend to feature the main female character in almost every single issue. Sometimes this is because these are the only designs available, but more often than not it is because they are playing with ideas that a male audience would expect to see in a female lead.Overall, this is a great topic to research, especially if you want to get a better understanding of feminism and related feminist issues. You can also benefit from the experience of others in the field.
